Description:

This is a full-time professional community services position responsible for City recreation, cultural arts, youth, and senior programs. Supervises planning, developing, and promotion of City recreation, cultural arts, fine arts, youth and senior programs. Supervises community services leaders and has considerable latitude of independent judgment and action.

Guide:

• College graduation and professional recreation experience required.
• Normally supervises a number of full-time and/or part-time professional and/or sub-professional Community Services personnel.
• In large organizations, may normally be in charge of a portion of the entire Community Services program such as arts and crafts, team sports, or cultural activities. In small organizations, may be in charge of a variety of programs.

Exclusion:

• Community services leaders.
• The department or division head responsible for all community services activities.
