Description:

Under general supervision, performs intermediate or journey-level skilled and semi-skilled street maintenance work. Performs scheduled and emergency repairs of potholes, guardrails, and fences; operates a variety of tools and equipment to assist in street repairs; performs work as part of a patch crew, slurry crew or paving crew; responds to emergency calls for service on a call-out basis and works outside normal working hours as needed; assists in the construction of streets, sidewalks, and curbs and gutters; identifies and corrects safety hazards; keeps tools and equipment in proper condition and repair.

Guide:

• Requires ability to read, write, and follow oral instructions, and one to two years of street maintenance experience.

• Equipment operators.
