Description:

Under general supervision, assists with the development and implementation of a comprehensive agency-wide Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program, designed to ensure compliance with the agency's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for storm water discharge and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program; assists with other administrative aspects of the NPDES permit program; responds to and keeps records of reports of NPDES permit violations; performs plan checks, conducts field inspections, issues citations, enforces codes, and writes reports.

Guide:

• High school education or equivalent, supplemented by coursework or certification in environmental studies or a related field, plus two to three years of experience in conducting and administering environmental investigations; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
