Description:

Under general supervision of a Laboratory Manager, or equivalent supervisor or manager, performs a wide variety of quantitative and physical tests on raw and treated wastewater to ensure the wastewater treatment plant's operation complies with state laws and regulations. Apply testing procedures and properly use and maintain laboratory equipment.

Guide:

• Requires two to three years of laboratory testing and analysis experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Possession of a California Water Pollution Control Association Laboratory Technologist I Certificate; or the ability to obtain one within twelve months from the date of appointment.

• Laboratory Managers
• Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators
