Description:

Under general supervision of an accounting manager or equivalent position, organizes, coordinates, and supervises the work of accounting technical and clerical accounting personnel as part of a work group or section, typically including one or more of the following functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll. Schedules assignments, approves absences, explains procedures, checks work, and handles difficult customer complaints and accounting problems. Participates in performance appraisals involving staff. May prepare specialized accounting reports and assist accounting management with subsidiary and technical accounting duties.
