Description:

Under administrative direction of the Utilities, Maintenance, or Operations Director, plans, controls and manages water maintenance and distribution services, including the construction, maintenance and repair of water transmiss ion lines and services. Oversees field supervisory personnel, administers division budget, and ensures construction, work order, and utility maintenance reports are completed and submitted in a timely and reliable manner. Coordinates projects and reporting with other areas.

Guide:

• Typically requires the equivalent of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college in chemistry, biology, natural sciences, hydrology, water engineering, or a related field, or similar technical coursework; and five years of technical and supervisory experience in the operation of wastewater collection and treatment facilities.
• Ability to obtain a Grade III Water Distribution Operator Certificate from the State of California, depending upon the maintenance standards of the agency and the State.

• Wastewater Supervisor or Wastewater Systems Superintendent
