Description:

Under immediate supervision, assists classroom instructor in the preparation and delivery of instructional

materials and assists and tutors students individually and in small groups. Keeps attendance rolls and

maintains attendance records. Sets up and operates computer and audiovisual equipment. May assist in

organizing reference and resources materials based on daily education plan. May assist teachers in the

administration and scoring of tests and exams. May assist the teacher in providing supervision for field

trips and assemblies and during meal and play periods.

This is an entry-level instructional assistant that typically serves in an elementary or pre-school classroom.
