Description:
Under general supervision, reviews menu and plans and prepares items that are part of planned meals.
Cooks, bakes, and prepares a wide variety of hot and cold dishes to be served. Monitors temperature of
food to comply with quality and safety standards and samples prepared food as needed to assure that it
has been properly prepared. Keeps count of food supplies and requests replacement items. Cleans and
maintains cooking equipment and work areas and assists with food service as required. May supervise
food service workers and helpers.
