Description:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of professional and technical duties in the administration and maintenance of public utilities SCADA systems and networks; administers SCADA servers and software applications; creates applications, scripts, and programming functions for SCADA, automation, and Oracle database projects; provides technical support to utility field staff for various applications and projects, including electrical and water systems; provides technical assistance in areas of security and ensures compliance with infrastructure protection regulations and policies; utilizes standard protocols and computer coding to create interfaces with other enterprise applications, systems, and databases; and performs related duties as assigned.
Guide:
Requires two to three years of SCADA systems research, applications, and infrastructure applications for utilities using SCADA software systems and applications, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field is desirable. SCADA related training, coursework or certification is desirable.
