Description:

Under general supervision, performs highly skilled Computer-Aided Design and Drafting and sub-professional engineering work. Performs journey-level engineering CADD work in accurate drawings from detailed field survey notes or preliminary sketches to comply with specified dimensions; calculates distances, ties, angles, areas, stations, traverses and crossings; lays out drawings; makes corrections to tract maps. May include surveying and inspection. Performs drafting using computer-aided design and drafting software. Prepares visual aids for public presentations. May work at a public counter interpreting and explaining code, permit, and statute requirements, engineering specifications and other related municipal, state and federal regulations to construction contractors, architect s, builders, property owners, and the general public.

Guide:

• Requires an AA degree with up to 1 year of experience.
• Requires training in CADD software applications.
