Description:

Under general supervision of supervisory or middle management information technology position, works from basic systems designs and specifications and uses standard procedures and techniques to develop or modify applications programs of moderate complexity and scope for one or more departments. Prepares flow charts, writes instructions, and documents and debugs software problems. Has some interactions with department users in creating an understanding of user needs and program applications. May assist higher-level programmers and management level information technology staff in the development of more complex applications programs.

Guide:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or directly related field. Two or more years of professional applications programming experience is required.
