Description:

Performs a variety of inspection and municipal code enforcement duties with particular emphasis in achieving compliance with all provisions of the zoning ordinance, City Code and business license code. Receives and reviews complaints from citizens regarding violations of the City Code; contacts persons or businesses to achieve code violation compliance; makes physical field inspections to ascertain if a violation has occurred or compliance has been achieved; prepares and coordinates complaints through the City Attorney's office; may attend court on behalf of the City.

Guide:

• May be under the direction of a Senior Code Enforcement officer.
• This is a journey-level position.
• One to two years of increasingly responsible municipal code enforcement experience.

• This position does not provide lead supervision and direction.
